Jamaica

Negril, a large west Jamaican town with white sand beaches dotted with cascading waterfalls is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. You can explore Mayfield Falls with a guide or take a bamboo raft down the Negril River. Rick’s Cafe offers live music and cliff jumping for the more adventurous couple. Don’t forget about the Blue Lagoon in Port Antonio, where the turquoise waters are breathtaking. Villas Sur Mer and Idle Awhile Beach are the best places to stay

  • Florida Keys

The Florida Keys, which are easy to reach and affordable, make a great getaway for those with limited time.

You’ll find a more intimate and comfortable experience here than in crowded resorts or high rise hotels. You can take a trip on a glass-bottomed vessel, explore Molasses Reef or glide through the Everglades in an airboat. You can hunt for crocodiles if you are feeling adventurous.

  • Cape May, New Jersey

Another affordable, small-town beach location! Cape May is a great place to relax and enjoy a romantic getaway.

The charming carriage rides that take you through the town are just the beginning. The Victorian architecture and the beautiful Cape May Lighthouse will make you feel like you’re reading a romance novel. Sunset Beach and Willow Creek Winery make for a great daytime setting to relax and unwind.

  • Philippines

We are proud to recommend the Philippines as a top choice for budget-friendly honeymoon destinations. Nearly all the islands of the Philippines are extremely welcoming to newlyweds, offering modern accommodations and lots of activities.

Remember that the further you are from Manila, the more transportation is required. This includes connecting flights with smaller planes, ferry boats, and other types of transport. Regardless of how long it takes to get there, you will be rewarded with beautiful views and a great atmosphere.

  • Riviera Maya, Mexico

Avoid Cancun’s high-priced resorts and travel south to Riviera Maya. You can snorkel with turtles in Akumal or to Playa Del Carmen, the epicenter for all things honeymoon. You will have the time of your life with all-inclusive resorts and world-class restaurants.

  • Bali, Indonesia

Bali, Indonesia’s most well-known island, is famous for its stunning beaches, beautiful scenery, spirituality and lush rice fields. Bali offers a variety of activities, including surfing the best waves, diving wrecks and hiking volcanoes. You can also explore temples.

However, Bali is not all created equal. Some parts of Ubud are less relaxing and more chaotic than others. If you want to relax with your spouse, I recommend either staying in a villa, or going off the beaten path a bit.

  • Croatia

Croatia is the top romantic destination for couples looking to honeymoon. It has charming old towns, beautiful beaches, friendly people and breathtaking national parks.

Split, Dubrovnik and Zagreb are great cities to explore. You’ll find ruins, museums and breathtaking views everywhere, but you should also visit Croatia’s natural beauty. You will be blown away by the beauty of Mljet Island, Plitvice National Park and Krka National Park.

Croatia’s extensive bus network makes renting a car easy. It is very easy to travel around the country.

  • Portugal

Portugal is all about castles, beaches and cobblestone towns. It is known for its rich port wines, savory foods, and friendly people. It will take your breath away. Portugal is still affordable, but it offers a lot of fun things that are great to share with loved ones.

It is possible to stay for a few days in most of Portugal’s major cities. However, I recommend getting out and exploring the rest of Portugal. Lisbon, Sintra and Faro are some of the most popular spots in Portugal.

  • Lake Tahoe, Nevada & California

Lake Tahoe is a perfect destination for a honeymoon, as it straddles both Nevada and California.

Lake Tahoe is a busy destination in the summer with many boaters, swimmers, zipliners and hikers. In winter, Lake Tahoe turns into a snowy paradise with plenty of snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling.

However, if you are looking for a more relaxed honeymoon, you will enjoy the best of Lake Tahoe. Even if it means relaxing at your hotel and getting a couple’s massage.

  • San Juan Islands, WA

The San Juan Islands, Washington, are located just north of Seattle. They are well-known for their natural beauty, fresh and organic food options, and their relaxed, pacific Northwest vibe.

Enjoy some time in the Doe Bay Hot Springs, kayak between the Islands, visit Cattle Point Lighthouse and go ziplining in Friday Harbor. You can also camp overnight in the National Park to tick off that whale-watching bucketlist item.

Don’t Miss: creamistry

The San Juan Islands offer a great option for those who want to live in the States and have a relaxing, nature-filled honeymoon.
